Privés de compétition officielle pour cause de Coupe du Monde de rugby et d'élimination prématurée en Coupe de la Ligue, les Sedanais réenfilent le bleu de chauffe à l'occasion de la réception d'Angers.
Promu de national, accepté en ligue 2 grâce à un jugement du Tribunal Administratif qui infligera par là même un camouflet à la LFP, le club du Maine-et-Loire réalise néanmoins un excellent début de championnat et occupe la sixième place aprés un probant succés face à Amiens samedi dernier (2-0).
Traditionnellement, le CSSA ne réussit guére aux Angevins. En s'inclinant 1-0 à Dugauguez en mai 2005, les hommes de l'Anjou rejoignait même le national par la même occasion. Aprés deux ans de purgatoire, les voici de retour en ligue 2.
Toute compétititon confondue, Angevins et Sedanais se sont affrontés 59 fois, les Vert et Rouges dominent assez largement le bilan avec 27 victoires, 19 nuls et seulement 13 défaites. Espérons que le bilan soit encore plus favorable mardi vers 22h00 ...
José Pasqualetti avait promis des changements et, si on en croit le onze de départ annoncé sur le site officiel du club, il y en a effectivement.
Ainsi, le technicien corse aurait décidé de reconduire la charniére centrale qui a évolué face à l'UNFP jeudi dernier (Baysse-Traoré) laissant Yahia débuter le match sur le banc. Sartre est de toute façon forfait pour cette rencontre.
A noter deux retours dans le groupe, celui de Regnault qui revient de blessure et, plus surprenant, celui de Cissé qui semble avoir, enfin dirions nous, purgé sa mise à l'écart : ils seraient tous deux dans l'équipe de départ.
