Sedan accueillera donc la surprise de ce début de championnat pour un match au sommet entre le 2éme et le 4éme.
Ce sera l'occasion pour Sedan de reprendre seule la 2éme place, à 2 points de Nancy et avant de recevoir une 2éme fois vendredi prochain (Laval) mais méfiance , on sait combien il est difficile de s'imposer 2 fois de suite à domicile surtout cette saison où il est plus facile de s'imposer à l'exterieur !!
Brest, c'est un club au passé prestigieux, 10 saisons passées en D1 avant un dépôt de bilan en 1991.
Des joueurs comme Guivarch ou Martins sont sortis du centre de formation du stade brestois.
Plusieurs ex-sedanais sont passé par les bords du pont de Recouvrance, les fréres David, Bruno Pabois qui entraine aujourd'hui la réserve brestoise et bien sûr Cédric Elzéard et Eduardo Oliveira!
A noter aussi que Laurent David sera dans le groupe, que de souvenirs!!
Depuis cette période, Brest a sombré jusqu'au CFA avant de remonter en national en 2000 puis en L2 cette saison, c'est donc un grand du football français qui rejoint l'antichambre de l'élite.
Du côté brestois, un blessé, Vincent Boulanger, un convalescdent, Gautier, un incertain, Bogaczyk et un suspendu, Hriscu.
Du côté sedanais, Amalfitano, suite à son expulsion de lundi, sera absent.
Seul Neumann est toujours à l'infirmerie, Sabin, lui, était absent au dernier entrainement, mais il serait quand même titulaire(???), tandis que Gagnier est dans le groupe.
Mokaké et Lorthioir seront remplacant, Belloumou se tiendra prés en cas de forfait de Gagnier.
Jeannel a joué samedi avec la réserve, il a fait un excellent match.
